The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) published Resolution No. MEF-RES-2026-3607 in Official Gazette No. 30645 of October 29, 2026, updating the prices and weekly caps of the temporary fuel price stabilization mechanism, a scheme authorized by Cabinet Resolution No. 20 of March 31, 2026. Under its article 5, the new values apply from 6:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30 through 5:59 a.m. on Friday, November 13, 2026.

Article 2 sets the prices that validated beneficiaries will pay at service stations: B/.0.93 per liter of 91-octane gasoline, B/.1.07 per liter of 95-octane gasoline and B/.0.90 per liter of low-sulfur diesel. The program covers passenger transport, freight linked to the supply of farm products, essential foods, basic goods and cleaning supplies, and artisanal fishing. Article 3 provides that the State will cover the difference from each station's price, within the weekly caps and budget availability.

Article 4 sets those caps by category. The highest, B/.345.25 per week, applies to collective buses of more than ten tons that use the Centennial Bridge; the recitals explain that traffic restrictions on the Bridge of the Americas add about twelve kilometers per round trip. The Land Transit and Transport Authority (ATTT) certifies the vehicles, and any balance not used in a week is lost.

For transport and essential freight operators, the mechanism cushions the rise in diesel recorded for this period, while gasoline prices fell according to National Energy Secretariat figures. The recitals state that the support seeks to preserve a minimum price signal and that the State will not fully and indefinitely absorb international price swings, so the fiscal cost will remain tied to each review. Article 7 provides for suspending or canceling access to the benefit for anyone who uses the fuel for other purposes.

Article 5 instructs the MEF to update prices and caps every two weeks, and article 1 keeps the mechanism in place while prices remain above pre-energy-crisis levels, with fifteen additional days once they stabilize. Nexo Capital will follow the next update.
